Annoyed With Jehovah’s Witnesses? Don’t Shoot At Them 19 Times Like This Guy

Yes, we know, nothing makes you feel as uncomfortable in your own home than when Jehovah’s Witnesses come a-knockin’. But that’s no reason to shoot at them as they try to leave.

That’s what John Baldwin of Centerton, Arkansas, did when he was visited by a group of porch missionaries. As they left, he whipped out a 9mm handgun and shot a whopping 19 rounds in their direction. Miraculously, no one was hurt.

But the story is more than a little weird. Baldwin, who neighbors say only moved to the neighborhood recently, apparently stood on his porch and talked with the Jehovah’s Witnesses cordially at first. Once he found out who they were, he lost it.

“The minute they mentioned they were with the Jehovah testimony that’s when he told them to get off the property,” said the police officer who arrested Baldwin.

“Get your (explicit) off my property. I moved out here to get away from people like you,” Baldwin screamed, according to the police report.

The three Jehovah’s Witnesses apologized and began to leave. That’s when one of them said they heard Baldwin say “Get me my nine.”

They hopped in the car to drive away, and spotted Baldwin in their rear-view mirror shooting at them as they drove away.

Police found 13 shell casings on the scene, while Baldwin maintains that he shot at them 19 times. He cooperated with police, and even seemed calm when they questioned him.

“He was very calm, he seemed very apologetic,” his arresting officer said. “He said he wasn’t trying to hurt them he was just wanting them off his property.”

Regardless, Baldwin is facing aggravated assault charges for his stunt. He could be hit with a $10,000 fine and a six-year prison sentence.
