Paula Patton Talks About Miley Cyrus’ ‘Double Standard’ Comments To ‘Rolling Stone’

Paula Patton, Robin Thicke’s wife, is speaking up about the infamous Miley Cyrus twerking on her husband during the MTV VMA’s more than a month ago. Yes, we are still talking about this.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Cyrus complained that there is a double standard when it comes to all the backlash she got after the now infamous performance at the awards show.

Miley Cyrus complained that she was not the only one making the suggestive moves and that Robin Thicke was also part of the antics and he didn’t get any flack.

Now Paula Patton is opening up about the whole controversy saying the day after the performance she kept getting texts like: “praying for you” and “if you need to talk, I’m here”.

“It’s just so funny,” the actress says, “because when I saw him perform, I thought, ‘You guys killed it!”

Paula Patton said, her and Thicke hugged, went out to celebrate without knowing of the controversy that had just been created.

Cyrus puts it quite plainly in her complaint, “They’re talking about the one who bent over,” at her grinding on the 37-year-old singer.

Patton doesn’t seem to be fazed by all the scandal surrounding her man’s privates and how the much younger pop diva used him to do her thing.

“Why are people making such a big deal about it? Quite frankly, all my friends dance like that with him. He’s like the guy that you can dance with, ’cause he’s safe!” Patton, who was promoting her new film, Baggage Claim with Thicke, says.

The 37-year-old actress says she believes Miley Cyrus is a “really cool girl” and understands where she’s coming from.

“Listen, I think Miley’s a really cool girl and it’s not fair between men and women but he certainly didn’t take her and back her up into him…If that’s how she feels I totally understand. Robin can handle it.”

Is this controversy ever going to end? For Paula Patton it doesn’t seem to be a big deal, she is moving on with her career, which has gotten a lot of free PR thanks to her husband and Miley Cyrus.
