Katie Holmes may be busy with New York Fashion Week by night, but by day the mom is picking outfits to match her fashionable daughter Suri.
Kate was spotted this week picking up her 7-year-old daughter from school, and after spending the past few days at the top of her fashion game for New York Fashion week, the 34-year-old actress opted for jeans and a white t-shirt.
But for Katie Holmes, apparently there’s no such thing as an off-day fashion wise. The actress had a loose grey sweater that complemented her daughter’s grey dress .
Suri had another noticeable accessory, though it wasn’t exactly fashion-related. The second grader was still wearing a pink cast from where she broke her arm in a late-summer accident. Reports said Suri Cruise broke the arm in a cartwheeling mishap while visiting her grandparents in Toledo, Ohio.
The matching school outfits came just a day after Katie Holmes showed off the spring/summer 2014 collection for her line Holmes & Yang at a Chelsea gallery. It was the first time showing her line at New York Fashion Week.
“It’s really exciting. It’s a wonderful thing to work and I’m very inspired by my partner, [stylist] Jeanne Yang,” Katie Holmes told E! News . “She’s a wonderful designer and we had a great presentation. It was actually very relaxed and we really enjoyed ourselves.”
Katie said she wanted to keep her fashion line simple , taking cues from some other noteworthy designers.
“I’ve always been a fan of Michael Kors. I love his classic designs,” Holmes said. “It’s so accessible to so many women—from his watches to his bags to his beautiful designs and I think he’s just such a great American designer and I’m really happy to be here.”
