The latest Call of Duty: Ghosts trailer takes the single player mode where few men have gone before.
Call of Duty: Ghosts has earned some new respect among the gaming community before its release as it has evolved the gameplay further than we could have expected. First off, the ability to command a dog into action to take down enemies from a distance was a new direction for the series.
Then we learned that Call of Duty: Ghosts would use a new and improved war-time mechanic that would almost eliminate players who love to “camp” behind walls and shoot from cover, though it makes taking cover easier in the heat of the moment. We also discovered that the game would now feature female soldiers for the first time, as previously reported by The Inquisitr.
The Call of Duty: Ghosts trailer that puts the single player mode in space begins with an astronaut floating around a satellite as a space shuttle looms nearby. Then said astronaut floats out of what appears to be an extended tunnel and beyond into a similar tunnel with a gap surrounded by space. Soon we find these astronauts are packing heat as the violence begins to heat up, an explosion literally blowing one through a shaft and then out into space in a cloud of debris.
It appears that Call of Duty: Ghosts may be taking a queue from Dead Space and using anti-gravity battles now.
As a satellite appears to launch itself back to Earth, we see several projectiles launched likewise, as they all fall to soil. We see the wreckage of the space battle from where it fell to Earth as a voice-over pipes in.
“You never expect something you trust to turn against you. The rods didn’t just decimate the land. They left us open to full-scale invasion. Our new enemies advanced from south of the equator, overwhelming an already crippled nation. But I trained you well, and you won’t be alone. A man who truly loves his country doesn’t just give his life.”
In the midst of this speech, we see several scenes of in-game footage as we’re treated to what may be in store for us in Call of Duty: Ghosts.
