Jillian Michaels to no longer berate fat people on television

Jillian Michaels, who you may know from shouting down overweight people on the popular weight-loss contest show The Biggest Loser, confirmed on her Twitter feed earlier this week that she’s giving up yelling at people to not be fat in order to focus on being a mom.

On December 7th, Michaels responded to a fellow Twitter user, saying:

season 11 of Biggest Loser will be my last ? have to finish out my contract.

Michaels then said that a replacement for her has already been selected:

they already hired her. Using my last season to help launch her in season 11

As for reasons behind her departure from The Biggest Loser, Michaels says:

I want to take a year off TV and focus on becoming a mommy and doing more charity work.

In the past, Michaels has said that she couldn’t “handle” the aesthetics effects pregnancy might have on her body:

“I’m going to adopt. I can’t handle doing that to my body,” she told the magazine. “Also, when you rescue something, it’s like rescuing a part of yourself,” she said referring to adoption.

Later tweets seem to indicate that she plans to adopt at least one, and perhaps two children. As for the charity work, maybe she’ll start shouting at poor people to stop being so poor?
