Hayden Panettiere Recognized For Environmental Work, New Bangs

Actress Hayden Panettiere has a lot going on this week, rocking a new ‘do and getting a phat recognition for her love for Mother Earth.

You may have seen Hayden Panettiere’s hot new hair, debuted in a segment on David Letterman’s show and shortly prior to the segment on Twitter.

The Nashville star tweeted about her new hair look coyly before she visited Dave to discuss what’s up in her life… with a notable absence of chatter about her purported engagement to boxer boyfriend Wladimir Klitschko, 37. Crafty!

Hayden Panettiere isn’t just making waves with her bangs, though — it was also revealed this week that along with Matt Damon, the blonde bombshell is being recognized for a far more impressive accomplishment.

Damon and Panettiere are being honored by The Environmental Media Association for environmental work and activism, the group announced this week.

In a statement on the EMA’s website, Panettiere and Damon were name-checked as two honorees in Hollywood. The group says:

“The Environmental Media Association is honoring Matt Damon and Hayden Panettiere for their dedication to ecological causes… Panettiere will accept the Futures Award, which recognizes younger entertainers for their potential to be environmental activists. The “Nashville” star is active with the Whaleman Foundation, an oceanic research and conservation group.”

The EMA awards will be held on October 19 in Burbank.

Above is Hayden Panettiere’s hairdo tweet — but by the time the awards roll around, the star could have a totally new look. Do you like Hayden’s blonde bangs ensemble, or do you prefer a fringe-free look?
