‘Injustice: Gods Among Us’ May Get ‘Man Of Steel’ General Zod Skin

Are you disappointed that Injustice: Gods Among Us hasn’t released a Man of Steel General Zod skin? According to someone who dug through the source code, your wish may soon be granted.

Although armchair brawlers can currently lay the smack down as Zack Snyder’s version of Superman, many players were disappointed by the lack of a proper Zod skin. However, it would appear that NetherRealm Studios is looking to fix this problem in the near future.

According to a user at TRMK.org, the source code for the latest Zatanna DLC contains references to the Man of Steel General Zod skin. Unlike the updated Superman skin, Zod’s face will closely resemble that of actor Michael Shannon. Otherwise, the character will have the same moves, poses, and dialogue as the vanilla Zod.

NetherRealm Studios has yet to officially announce the new skin as of this writing. This means it could be a while before the company unveils the latest addition to the Injustice: Gods Among Us universe. However, there are currently a ton of other skins for folks to play with at the moment.

Developer Ed Boon stated that players would soon have access to a host of new skins for the best-selling fighting game. The company recently unleashed the Cyborg Superman skin with the Zatanna DLC pack. Fans can add the new character to the game’s expansive roster right now.

If you’re curious to see the Man of Steel General Zod skin in action, have a look at the trailer below. It’s not an official release from NetherRealm, but it should give you a good idea of what the character will look like upon its arrival.
