Prince William On Prince George During First Full Interview Since Birth :He’s ‘Changed Me Forever’

Prince William has given his first interview since the birth of his son, Prince George, on 22 July, and he has revealed that he has already “changed” him “forever.”

The Duke of Cambridge was interviewed by CNN’s Max Foster for a special one off show, Prince Williams’ Passion: New Father, New Hope, which will premiere on Sunday September 15 at 10 pm, and has been produced for both CNN and UK’s ITV.

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has stayed at home since the birth of George, where she has been helped by her parents, Carole and Michael, whilst William has made several public appearances, showing up a polo match and the Anglesey Show recently.

William has been described as “animated” in the interview which was filmed at Kensington Palace, and was conducted by Max Foster, while for ITV, award winning documentary film-maker, Jane Treays, filmed the piece.

In the piece, Prince William discusses becoming a parent and how it has affected him, while he also mentions various other passions in his life, such as Africa and wildlife conservation, as he continues his pursuit to save endangered species from across the world. The Duke reveals that he hopes his son will follow his efforts in these fields.

Foster discussed the interview, stating, “I’ve never seen him so animated. We had lots of time with him and he was on great form. I’m thrilled with the interview.”

Whilst a spokeswoman for ITV added, “Prince William also talks about his love of Africa, his commitment to wildlife conservation and his hope that Prince George will one day share these passions. He explains the pivotal part that Africa has played in his life and reflects on continuing a royal legacy in the continent, building on his father’s conservation work and Princess Diana’s humanitarian campaigns.”

Some of the interview will be aired on CNN’s New Day on Monday August 19.
