Ben Affleck Quietly Visited Lindsay Lohan In Rehab [Report]

Ben Affleck apparently paid a secret visit to Lindsay Lohan while the latter was holed up in rehab. We bet you’d never put these two together in a room.

According to TMZ, Affleck decided to show his support for Lohan while she was staying at Cliffside Malibu by visiting her and giving her some tips on staying sober in Hollywood. He also reportedly gave her some advice on making a comeback… and making it stick this time.

He also complimented her talent and told her that others in Hollywood support her as well. Sources say she was moved by his words of encouragement.

The two seem like quite a strange pairing, but think about Ben Affleck’s life and career trajectory for a minute.

He was a rising star in the late 90’s and early 2000’s with multiple starring roles and a co-writing credit on the critically acclaimed Good Will Hunting. He quickly became one of Hollywood’s A-list, and was a competitive leading man, but tabloid interest in his personal life began to overtake his work when he became “Mr. Jennifer Lopez.”

A few really really really bad career choices later and a massive breakup with Jennifer Lopez later, and he fell into relative obscurity.

He entered rehab for alcoholism in 2001 and has remained sober ever since. In recent years, he made a successful comeback as a director with critically acclaimed films like Gone Baby Gone and The Town.

He still has his critics as an actor, but most people agree that his star is still on the rise as a talented director, especially after his Oscar win for 2012’s Argo.
