Martian Manhunter is the latest addition to the hit comic book brawler Injustice: Gods Among Us.
The folks at NetherRealm Studios have been keeping a steady stream of downloadable characters flowing into the fighter since its release earlier this year. The fifth addition to the roster was announced at EVO 2013 in Las Vegas last weekend.
Unfortunately for those who are eager to get their hands on the latest Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC, a release date for Martian Manhunter has not been announced just yet. Eurogamer points out that pricing information is also being kept under wraps for the time being.
J’onn J’onzz, who is better known as Martian Manhunter, is one of the core members of Justice League of America. According to Polygon, this character isn’t the only new addition to Injustice: Gods Among Us. Players will be able to get their hands on a John Stewart Green Lantern skin as well.
NetherRealm Studios has given fans plenty of new characters to play around with over the past few months. Gamers currently have access to such downloadable fighters as Lobo, Batgirl, Scorpion, and General Zod. This is in addition to the numerous skins and costumes the developers have released since the game’s arrival at retail.
It’s currently unknown if any additional characters will be offered once J’onn J’onzz makes his epic debut in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Fans of the brawler have expressed interest in seeing Black Canary, Zatanna, and Power Girl added to the lineup. Some folks also believe that NetherRealm might add Mortal Kombat fan favorite Sub-Zero to the roster down the road as well.
According to Cinema Blend, there’s a very strong possibility that Injustice: Gods Among Us will get a “Game of the Year” edition at some point next year. If you haven’t dropped any money on the fighter yet, then you might want to wait until the GOTY version makes it debut.
