True Blood hunk Alexander Skarsgard has poured cold water on the rumor that he is secretly dating Ellen Page , 10-years his junior and standing in his armpit 13-inches below him.
The two were linked after filming Zal Batmanglij’s The East together earlier this year. A photo tweeted by Batmanglij showed Page positively ecstatic in Skarsgard’s arms as he kissed her gently on the head. Naturally, this got the gossip mill running overtime.
Though Page was ambiguous about her relationship with Skarsgard in a recent interview of her own , the 36-year-old Swede told the German version of OK! Magazine that the two are absolutely, undoubtedly just good friends .
“Ellen and I are friends,” he insisted. “If I was really dating every woman I’ve been linked to, I would never be out of bed,” he joked.
Additionally, Skarsgard hinted that he usually doesn’t date his colleagues because schedules can become so hectic (indeed, busy schedules are often cited in celebrity break-ups).
“Besides, dating actresses is hard,” he said. “They usually don’t have time for things like that. When they do have time, then it’s me who’s standing in front of a camera somewhere else.”
Further, he doesn’t seem to be the type to cruise the office looking for love.
“Also, I don’t treat a new film set as an opportunity to score some dates!” he joked.
Skarsgard was linked to actress Kate Bosworth, but they ended their relationship in 2011 after two years. Not that is matters, but she’s 5? 5? to Skarsgard’s 6? 4?.
