George Clooney And Stacy Keibler Call It Quits After Two Years

George Clooney and Stacy Keibler have split, ending their two-year relationship after they drifted apart, a source said.

The end of the Hollywood power couple reportedly came down to differing visions for life. Stacy wanted to settle down and have a family, while George has made it clear he does not want to marry.

The split happened a few weeks ago, a source said.

“Stacy called it quits. She wants to have children and a family someday. She knows where George stands on that,” a source close to the couple told People magazine. “They talked and they quietly stopped being a couple several weeks ago.”

George Clooney and Stacy Keibler had been beset with breakup rumors over the last several months.

In fall a source told the New York Daily News that the couple had barely been talking and Clooney was pulling away from Keibler. The strained relationship was reportedly difficult on Keibler, who was seen in tears over her difficulties with Clooney and needed to be consoled by a handler.

“They’re barely talking,” the source said last year. “She is worried that he may break up with her any day now.”

The Sun predicted in September that George Clooney would break up with Keibler within days. Stan Rosenfield, who represents Clooney, called the story untrue.

“A story published by a London tabloid, The Sun, concerning George Clooney and Stacy Keibler is not true … [It’s a] total fabrication designed to sell newspapers,” he said.

But the couple had been spending more and more time apart lately, the source told People this week. Clooney has been filming the upcoming Monuments Men, and he and Keibler hadn’t been seen together since March.

“They haven’t seen each other in a while and they’ve both been working so much, so in recent months, they’ve started growing apart,” another source told People.

The source added that George Clooney and Stacy Keibler remain close after the breakup, talking close to every day.
