Jared Leto looks a little bit different on his latest magazine cover. The actor dressed in drag for the cover of Candy Magazine, complete with a pink wig and red lipstick.
Leto is almost recognizable on the cover. The Huffington Post believes that the 30 Seconds To Mars singer looks like Katy Perry while Too Fab thinks Leto looks like Zooey Deschanel.
This is the first time that Leto has dressed up in drag for Candy Magazine but it isn’t the first time he’s put on a dress. The singer plays an AIDs afflicted transsexual in his new movie The Dallas Buyers Club. Leto reportedly lost 30 pounds for the role.
“O ur body goes through weird stages. Sometimes it’s hard to hold on to water. But for me, it’s not about the most weight I can lose, it’s more to represent the character. Historically, people have done it for pursuit of self, to achieve a meditative state, so I’m hoping for that. It’s not necessarily a bad thing.”
