New Jersey Home Invasion Caught On Nanny-Cam


Police are searching for a suspect after a scary home invasion in New Jersey was caught on camera. The nanny-cam footage shows a man punching and kicking and chocking a woman while her three-year-old daughter looks on.

Police say that the suspect kicked in the locked front door of a home in Millburn, New Jersey around 10:30 am local time last Friday.

The suspect then assaulted the unsuspecting homeowner. The victim, whose name has not been released, recalled of the home invasion, “I knew that if I started screaming, my daughter would too, and I was afraid she would get hurt.”

So, to keep her daughter as safe as possible, the mom stayed silent the whole time. The suspect was able to take off with an unknown amount of jewelry, including the mother’s wedding ring. Along with her three-year-old, the woman’s one-year-old was sleeping upstairs during the incident.

Graphic footage from the family’s nanny-cam shows the male suspect beating and choking his victim. Captain Michael Palardy explained it best when he said, “The man viciously beat the woman.”

The mom of two was making breakfast at the time of the attack. She was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries to her face and legs. She is expected to make a full recovery. It was unclear who took care of her children after the attack.

Meanwhile, police have said they are looking for a black male about 5 feet 11 inches tall and believed to weigh around 210 pounds. They added that the suspect possible has a salt-and-pepper beard.

Along with the victim’s description, police were able to get a clearer view of the New Jersey home invasion suspect because of the nanny cam. Footage of the brutal attack was uploaded to YouTube and given to the media in the hopes the public can help identify the suspect.
