Hunter Hayes Announces Fall Headlining Tour Dates

Country newcomer Hunter Hayes is launching into the big time with a headlining tour, called CMT on Tour: Hunter Hayes Let’s Be Crazy Tour. The tour will start in the fall and features songs from Hayes’ new album, Encore, which is due out later this month.

The 21-year-old rising country star is already a Platinum-selling artist, thanks to his debut album, which included hit singles like, “Wanted,” “Somebody’s Heartbreak,” and “Storm Warning.”

Hayes stated of his first headline tour:

“The fall is going to be a production, a show, an experience based on years of my dreaming about it. It’s kind of like my first record — you have your entire life to make your first record, I’ve had my entire life to plan this tour.”

Hunter Hayes is a music-loving multi-instrumental prodigy from Louisiana. At 21, he already has a Platinum-selling record and three Grammy nominations under his belt. He also has stage experience after opening for Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away Tour for 90 dates.

But this time around, Hayes gets to call all the shots. And that includes bringing along Ashley Monroe of Pistol Annies as his opening act and special guest. The singer added of her addition, “She’s a phenomenal singer. I love how unique her voice is.”

Along with his first headlining tour, Hunter Hayes is also releasing an expanded version of his debut album on June 18. Called (Encore), the album will include his latest single, “I Want Crazy,” along with a duet with Monroe on a new recording of “What You Gonna Do.” The song appeared on the initial album release.

But Hayes revealed he wasn’t satisfied with the initial track, explaining, “I never felt like that song reached its full potential on the original record. It needed another look, and she gave it a new dimension, for sure.”

The CMT tour will stay in the Midwest and southern United States. Tickets go on sale on June 14 and the 21. Fans who pre-order (Encore) or download the country singer’s mobile app will be given early access to tickets.
