Donald Trump Building Dubai Golf Course


Donald Trump is heading to Dubai.

The real estate mogul is planning to open a golf course on the outskirts of Dubai. It will be the Trump International Golf Club’s first course in the Middle East.

According to Gulf Business News, Trump will be working with Damac Properties to design the 18-hole course. The project will also include a 30,000 sq ft clubhouse, a spa and wellness center, and three restaurants. The 7,205 yard course is expected to be ready for play next year.

Ivanka Trump, executive vice president at the Trump Organization, said: “As with all of the courses we develop and manage, Trump International Golf Club Dubai is being built to the highest standards of excellence and will become known as one of the world’s finest courses .. The combination of DAMAC Properties’ local knowledge and expertise in the luxury market and our unrivaled experience with owning and operating a collection of the world’s finest courses will result in a challenging golf course with stunning landscaping and superior quality.”

Hussein Sajwani, chairman, DAMAC Properties, added: “This course will provide a unique challenge for golfers, while delivering the upmost luxury and refinement for which both Damac Properties and the Trump Organization have become renowned for.”

According to Fox Sports, the project will cover a total of 28 million square feet. The land was purchased from Dubailand after a $1 billion Tiger Woods golf course was scrapped during the economic downturn.
