Did 32-year-old Kelly approve the photos? Oh yeah. Did she ever. You could almost say that she gushed.
The enthusiastic Friday Night Lights star posted this comment: “Thank you for the fun summer goldierocks @traceycunningham1 I love it!! You’re the best in the bizz!”
And she isn’t the only one who loves the new blonde Minka Kelly look created by co-owner of the Meche Salon in Los Angeles. Tracey Cunningham is Redken’s official “Creative Consultant for Color” and I think we can all agree that she really knows her stuff.
Other fans posted comments like, “Amazing” and “I love this.” A poster named “fashiondelight” abandoned all dignity and outright begged for the secret: “can you please, please tell me how I can get my hairstylist to do my hair color like this…Please tell us how you color her hair from beginning to end.”
I’m tempted to join the crowd and whimper a plea for a few hair color clues myself. But I’m guessing that Cunningham would remind us to start with Redken products.
Her Redken page notes that other celebrity clients include Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie.
Although perhaps best known for Friday Night Lights and Charlie’s Angels, the former brunette has a new movie coming out in October. The Butler, directed by Lee Daniels and starring Forest Whitaker, is the story of a real-life butler who served under seven presidents.
Kelly will appear as the elegant and forever-stylish Jacqueline Kennedy, the First Lady and wife of popular President John Kennedy in the early 1960s. Filming wrapped up in late 2012.
