Stanley Tucci Cast In ‘Transformers 4’

Looks like Michael Bay has got himself another terrific addition to the Transformers 4 film. Some time ago we announced that actress Nicola Peltz was joining alongside Mark Wahlberg to star in Transformers 4. Now accomplished actor Stanley Tucci is joining the Michael Bay action film too.

Last night in Las Vegas, Paramount held a ceremony for CinemaCon. CinemaCon celebrates the “movie going experience.” At the ceremony, filmmakers and select talent gather to announce the upcoming anticipated films of the summer and beyond. This year, Michael Bay attended to promote his buddy crime comedy Pain & Gain starring Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg.

During the announcement Bay revealed that Transformers 4 will shoot with IMAX cameras, and that Tucci was the latest addition to Transformers 4. However, Bay didn’t reveal too much about Tucci’s role, but we’re sure he would make a great villain as he has often played villains in the past. The only thing that’s certain is that Tucci will act alongside Wahlberg, who will team up with Michael Bay for the second time since filming the upcoming Pain & Gain.

Tucci has proved to me just as busy, if not more than the likes of Wahlberg. Tucci is in the upcoming film Some Velvet Morning, which makes its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. In addition Tucci is filming The Fifth Estate, Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, and Heat.

With such a busy few years, so far in pre-production Tucci only has Your Voice in My Head, aside from Transformers 4.

Without a doubt his next highly anticipated film up next is the Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire. Stanley spoke about the process of filming two sequels, saying:

“Gary I think did an amazing job on the first movie. They’re very different directors, but I think Francis is maintaining – without question – the integrity of those characters and being very true to the book – as true to the books and screenplay as possible. I think he’s a very wonderful director. Gary’s very talkative and gregarious and Francis is very quiet.”

Are you excited to see Stanley Tucci in Transformers 4?
