Haylee and Hannah Smith are just average teenage girls. Well, except for the fact that they possess super-human strength. The two girls lifted a 3,000 pound tractor off of their dad this week in Lebanon, Oregon.
NBC reports that Jeff Smith was trying to pull a stump out on Monday when his tractor flipped and pinned him against the ground. Unable to move, the man called for his two teenage daughters for help.
According to WBTV, the two girls, 14 and 16-years-old rushed to their father and tried to dig him out from underneath the tractor.
Hayle said: “I can’t dig fast enough and I’m freaking out … I just cannot dig fast enough.”
The two girls quickly realized that their plan wasn’t going to work and decided to work on a different strategy: The girls would lift the tractor off of their dad.
Haylee and Hannah each grabbed an end of the tractor and managed to lift it enough for their father to crawl out.
Haylee said: “We just did it. We both did it. I don’t see how I did it, I think she did all the work … We just kind of braced ourselves on the tire and just lifted it up. I don’t know how I lifted it, it was just so heavy … And I could feel it, I could just feel all the weight. But we just did it. We both did.”
Jeff broke his wrist in the incident and suffered a few cuts and bruises. Of course, if it wasn’t for his super-human powered girls his injuries could have been a lot worse.
