Amanda Bynes Says Impostor Is Featured In Recent Photos

Amanda Bynes claims she isn’t in the photographs currently making the rounds online.

Although the woman in the pictures posted by several news outlets certainly looks like the troubled actress, the She’s the Man star says the images in question are of an impostor.

Amanda Bynes recently reached out to her fans and followers on Twitter in an effort to set the record straight. While some people might believe the actress was captured by photographers sporting red hair, she stated this simply isn’t the case.

“My hair is blonde I’ve never been a redhead! Somebody keeps posing as me! Check my photos on twitter for up to date pictures!” the actress wrote on Tuesday evening.

She later added, “Fake or real microdermals same glasses! I don’t own those clothes and I’m blonde!”

Although the tweets were reportedly made late last night, the comments have since been deleted from her account. However, E! Online was able to spot the messages before they were mysteriously removed.

Amanda Bynes might be able to claim the photographs are of another woman who happens to bear a striking resemblance to the actress, but she can’t explain away the fact that she missed her recent court appearance.

The 26-year-old co-star of Hairspray and Easy A decided to skip her court date on Tuesday. She originally pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charges against her. Bynes’ lawyer Richard Hutton was granted a continuance as a result of his client’s absence.

Judge Margaret Oldendorf was responsible for granting the request. However, she told Hutton that the case needed to move forward as quickly as possible. The pre-trial has been rescheduled for May. The case against Bynes has been kicking around since October.

It’s unclear if the photos being passed around are actually of the actress. She has yet to address the matter again on Twitter as of this writing.
