Champions League Draw 2013 Keeps Real Madrid And Barcelona Apart

The Champions League draw for 2013 is keeping big competitors Real Madrid and Barcelona apart. Some are disappointed that the big favorites for lifting the Champions League trophy will not face each other after this draw.

This is the first time in 17 years that there are no English clubs in the Champions League quarterfinals. Instead, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Newcastle will advanced to the quarter finals of the Europa League, which also hosted a draw this morning.

The good news is that those hoping to see Real Madrid and Barcelona face off may still get the chance if the two teams both advance to the semi-finals, never mind the final showpiece. Such a match at the end of the Champions League would be a dream for many soccer fans.

Here are the results of the Champions League draw:

April 2-3
Borussia Dortmund at Malaga
Galatasaray at Real Madrid
Barcelona at Paris St.-Germain
