Michelle Obama Hacked: First Lady’s Financial Info Posted Online

Michelle Obama, the First Lady of the United States of America, is the latest victim in a hacker attack considered to be an alarming breach of security.

Michelle Obama was hacked by a Russian website called “Exposed,” which has also disclosed detailed financial information about celebrities like Beyonce, Jay-Z, Britney Spears, Donald Trump and Kim Kardashian. The hackers have now targeted the First Lady, posting very personal financial information about her online.

TMZfirst reported the news, detailing the kind of information posted in the Michelle Obama hack. That information includes her credit report, her social security number, phone numbers, banking and mortgage information, and credit card details.

The hacker website also posted information about Vice President Joe Biden, but the stuff they managed to gather was pretty limited in comparison to Michelle Obama’s.

Interestingly, when you click on Michelle’s name on “Exposed,” a message is revealed that says “Blame your husband, we still love you, Michelle.” This seems to indicate that Michelle Obama’s hack is more than just aimless Internet hactivism. The hackers in question are apparently protesting President Barack Obama.

When news of the hack got out, the Secret Service and the FBI were initially (and unusually) cautious about confirming the existence of an investigation into the matter. Law enforcement sources are apparently extremely concerned about the financial leaks and other powerful figureheads who may have been targeted.

As of 7:43am, The FBI confirmed that an investigation into the Michelle Obama hack is officially underway.

It’s possible that the hacks, the targets of which also include former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, FBI Director Robert Mueller, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, might be an elaborate hoax.

ABC News called one of the phone numbers posted for Joe Biden, and ended up being directed to a local business in Delaware.

Former FBI agent Brad Garrett said that the entire site could just be a fraud designed merely to embarrass public officials and celebrities.

“I’m very suspect [about] information released online. It goes against the very reason you steal them, it’s to use them,” Garrett said. “Is this a prank? Is this a hoax? Is it to get attention? That wouldn’t surprise me one bit.”

Are you surprised that Michelle Obama was hacked?
