Scarlett Johansson Engaged? Actress Spotted Wearing Huge Sparkler

Is Scarlett Johansson engaged? The Avengers actress was recently photographed rocking a pear-cut ring on that finger, getting all of the gossip world in a twist.

MSN reports that though Johansson is currently in a relationship with French journalist Romain Dauriac, she’s not entirely off the market just yet. The sparking diamond on her left ring finger isn’t an engagement ring, according to her reps.

Johansson’s people debunked possible engagement rumors with E! Online.

Engagement rumors sparked when Johansson was spotted walking hand-in-hand with Dauriac in New York City, sporting an exceptionally large pear-cut diamond on her ring finger. As it turns out, Johansson picked that finger in lieu of nothing whatsoever.

In fact, Johansson isn’t even all that interested in marriage in the first place. “I never think about marriage. Is that weird?” she said in a recent interview. “It’s really not important to me.” [Taking the high road, avoiding Ryan Reynolds joke.]

Johansson and Dauriac first went public with their relationship in November, less than one month after news of her split from former beau Nate Naylor went public.

Johansson isn’t the only celebrity to get us all worked up for nothing, either. Singer Katy Perry was recently photographed hanging out with her boyfriend, musician John Mayer, and rocking a big ‘ol diamond on that finger as well. Reps denied rumors of engagement, but Mayer himself recently said in an interview with CBS that he would like to get hitched some day.
