Katy Perry And John Mayer Engaged? Ring Pics Spark Rumors
Katy Perry and John Mayer are an odd couple that you almost want to root for, and a new photo is sparking rumors that the pair have actually become engaged.
Perry, now divorced from comedian Russell Brand, and Mayer, whose trail of human heartbreak includes Jessica Simpson, Taylor Swift, and Jennifer Aniston, just might be engaged to be married, reports MSN.
Perry and Mayer stepped out to enjoy Valentine’s Day together, and photographs show a new ring on her wedding finger. The two were all smiles when the left Vincenti restaurant in Brentwood, California on February 14, with Perry clearly sporting a red-stoned ring.
Perry’s rep has been more than helpful, telling ET “no comment.”
For his part, Mayer does seem to be very happy with Perry, and may be leaving his days as a notorious lothario behind him. He told Anthony Mason on CBS Sunday Morning that his relationship with the 28-year-old songstress is “very human” and admitted that he had been a “jerk” in previous relationships.
“I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship,” Mayer said. “For the first time in my life, I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship. I really don’t. I’m not in a high profile, I know it’s high profile. It’s hard to explain.”
When asked directly about the possibility for marriage, Mayer responded, “Of course. I mean, I’m still the kid from Connecticut. That’s what you do.”
