Here Comes Honey Boo Boo matriarch Mama June promises that her kids will never be like the Kardashian sisters.
June Shannon recently said that she’s prepared to take any steps necessary to prevent her children from growing up into spoiled socialites like the Kardashian sisters, reports MSN .
Thompson’s 7-year-old daughter, Alana Thompson, became a household name after her reality TV stints on Toddlers & Tiaras and Here Comes Honey Boo Boo on TLC. The show, featuring the Thompson family’s quirky “hillbilly” antics, debuted in 2012 to high ratings.
But June says she’s not letting all of the fame and money get to her children’s heads, a notion that she has been repeatedly insistent upon in the past .
Speaking to The Huffington Post , June says that her kids will always be down-to-earth country folk, and nothing like the celebutantes of the Kardashian Klan.
“My girls are not high-maintenance like them. They prefer to play in the mud than shop for new clothes. My girls are not labels. My kids love knowing who they are. We are just everyday people. We don’t consider ourselves celebrities. We still have respect for people just like we did before. We have not let the fame go to our head, because we are people people. We love to hang out with our fans … I’m the same person I was six months before all this started.”
