Channing Tatum Scares Partygoers At Super Bowl VIP Event With Fake Fight

Channing Tatum gave partygoers at an exclusive event in New Orleans when he got into a fight with UFC champ Cung Le. That’s how it appeared to them, at least.

Tatum was in the New Orleans bar Sinners and Saints with about 50 people, including Twilight star Ashley Greene and MTV reality star Audrina Patridge. Suddenly the crowd saw Channing Tatum grappling with Cung Le, the New York Post reported.

“They were putting each other in headlocks and chokeholds,” a witness told the paper.

Partygoers tried to separate the two as they engaged in a series of “jujitsu moves,” before Channing Tatum and Cung Le revealed that it was all in fun. The two met on the 2009 movie Fighting and remained good friends. After their fake fight the two posed for a picture of Tatum putting Le in a chokehold.

It’s unlikely that Channing Tatum would risk putting himself — or his noted physique — in harm’s way. The 2012 recipient of People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” honor has become one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors, with several rumored projects including a sequel to the summer hit Magic Mike. He’s also hinted at taking a break from acting for a bit to try his hand at directing.

As if that weren’t enough, Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan announced late last year that they would be having their first child together. The couple, who met on the set of the 2006 movie Step Up, had talked about their desire to have children, the Daily Mail noted.
