Well, it’s the day Kimye enthusiasts have all been waiting for: at least until the baby gets here. Kim Kardashian , the mother-to-be, hasn’t been able to escape the press tour she’s on to promote Kourtney Kim Take Miami , which has inevitably turned into a Kardashian baby watch.
Today Kim sat by Kourtney’s side on the Today show and released the date of the arrival for her bundle of joy with rapper and boyfriend Kanye West. It looks like it will be a summer baby with a July due date. However, before she spoke about her July due date, Kim also revealed that not only did Kanye’s baby announcement surprise her whole family at his Atlantic City concert, but it surprised her too.
Addressing his very public baby announcement , Kardashian doesn’t seem to be unaware about Kanye West’s impulsive nature, stating:
“No [I didn’t know he was going to do that]. He just kind of does what he feels. Once you’re past the three-month part, you know, you’re pretty safe. So he just kind of goes off what he feels and he was feeling it that night, I guess.”
However, it hasn’t been great news across the board for the Kardashian clan. Kim’s baby sister, Khloe Kardashian , who has been trying to have a baby for two years with husband Lamar Odom, has been very open about her troubles with fertility. In the media, Khloe has been painted every which way since the news of Kim’s pregnancy was released: happy, jealous , devastated, and even desperate. However, none of that is lost on Kim, which she also spoke out about on the Today show.
In regards to Khloe’s pregnancy woes, the elder Kardashian said:
“I know Khloe has been very open about her fertility issues and I think I was always really quiet about mine, and I have similar issues and so it was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens.”
