Caitlyn Jenner has made one of her dreams come true — walking down the beach in her “authentic self.” The I Am Cait star, who turns 68 on Saturday, kicks off her birthday week with a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. There, the transgender icon finally fulfills her lifelong “fantasy.”
On Friday, Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce, leaves little to the imagination on Instagram as she shares a daring video of herself living out her ultimate dream. For the first time since transitioning, the former Olympian confidently shows off her bikini bod and cleavage in a one-piece swimsuit.
In the short clip, Jenner appears carefree as she struts down the beach barefoot in a baring swimsuit. The former decathlete dons a dark, plunging one-piece bathing suit matched with a wide-brimmed hat and dark sunglasses.
As she approaches the camera, Caitlyn takes off her hat and dramatically twirls around, declaring that she’s “Free!”
In the post’s caption, Caitlyn admits that it has always been her fantasy to walk on the beach and just be herself.
“40 years ago my therapist asked me what my fantasy is. I told her walking on the beach being my authentic self.”
It can be recalled that Caitlyn officially came out as transgender in a special sit-down interview with Diane Sawyer in April 2015. Since then, the reality star has gained praises and criticisms, especially with the release of her memoir, The Secrets Of My Life.
In the controversial tell-all book, Caitlyn reveals some intriguing details about her married life with Kris Jenner, struggle with gender identity, and other issues involving the famous Kardashian family.
The book reportedly caused a rift between Caitlyn and her step-daughters, particularly Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian.
In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Kim slammed Jenner for dragging her mom in the controversy. The sisters also call the book a fabrication, adding that Jenner is not telling the whole truth in her stories.
Aside from family matters, Caitlyn is also facing controversies politically. In August, she was instantly bombarded with criticisms after wearing Trump’s iconic hat, especially after publicly opposing the president’s transgender military ban.
However, Caitlyn claims that she did not sport the “MAGA” cap as a show of support for Trump, adding that it was just an honest mistake.
“I apologize to all of the trans community. I made a mistake. I will never do it again and I’m getting rid of the hat.”
