‘RHOC’ Shannon Beador Headed For A Split? She Is Reportedly Trapped In A ‘Miserable’ Marriage

Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador and her husband, David, might be headed for divorce. Following his affair in 2015 and Beador’s weight gain over the past two years, sources close to the couple say they are on the verge of parting ways. Will they get divorced before Season 12 is a wrap?

A source told Radar Online that Beador tried to lose weight in an effort to save her marriage. The insider claims that Beador and David were miserable together, and she thought slimming down would make her more attractive. Unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like her plan worked.

“But it really is such a shame because Shannon has been doing all of this work on her appearance in hopes that David will be attracted to her again,” the insider shared. “But he hasn’t been for a long time.”

David was caught cheating on Beador in 2015 with a tech-firm president named Nicole McMackin. Beador discussed the affair on RHOC and ultimately decided to stay with David and forgive him. Their marriage woes, however, continued last season when Vicki Gunvalson spread rumors that David was physically abusing Beador. The couple denied the allegations, and Shannon Beador claims the stress from the drama caused her to gain significant weight.

“Last year after the island trip, I knew an allegation was put out there about my husband,” Beador explained. “That stress caused me to eat more, caused me to drink more and is a huge part of why I gained my weight.”

Beador also admitted that David has been distant with her ever since the rumors became an issue. Even still, the two participated in a vow renewal last year, and their marriage appeared to be back on track. Sadly, it looks like Beador’s weight gain has put a lot of stress on their relationship.

E! News reports that Beador opened up about her weight struggles during the premiere of Season 12 of RHOC. Beador admitted to gaining some 40 pounds since last season and explained her situation on social media after the episode. Beador reiterated what she said on the show and assured fans that her weight struggles would be explored more as the season progresses. She also bashed haters who criticized her weight gains.

“To those people who intend to write cruel or derogatory comments to me, I want to let you know you will be blocked and the comment deleted,” Beador wrote. “Gaining weight and trying to take it off is a struggle that most women will face at some point in their lives. I am hopeful that my fans and viewers of the show will be supportive of my journey.”

Beador did not address the rumors surrounding her marriage. Bravo TV, however, just released a trailer for the upcoming episode in which Beador discusses her relationship woes. In the clip, Beador admitted that her marriage was better in her old house and that things changed after all the rumors surfaced last season.
