Miranda Lambert Unaffected By Blake Shelton’s Song? Singer Shares Photos Of Anderson East
It’s been almost two years since Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton got divorced, but it seems that one of them is still bitter over their breakup. The exes have attended the same events in the past, but managed to avoid having an awkward run-in. However, the 40-year-old country charmer made things awkward for his ex-wife during the recent CMT Music Awards.
According to Perez Hilton, Shelton performed a song that seemingly talked about Lambert, who also performed her new song “Pink Sunglasses” at the event. He sang “Every Time I Hear That Song” which some fans assume was about the 33-year-old songstress. Although he never confirmed that it was about his ex-wife, the song reflects on a relationship with bittersweet memories.
During an interview with Billboard, Blake said that people can learn some facts of his divorce from Miranda if they listen closely to his album If I’m Honest which included the track “Every Time I Hear That Song.” He called it his divorce record, but claimed that it is also his happy, falling-in-love record.
“When we recorded the vocals for some of these songs, I was only six months removed from when all the crap went down,” he said. “When you have a broken heart — at least, when I do — you got to get it out of your system. You want people to sympathize with you. I was at rock bottom, in the middle of hell.”

While Blake Shelton appeared to be a bit down probably because his girlfriend Gwen Stefani wasn’t able to join him at the CMTs, Miranda Lambert was in high spirits as she was joined by her boyfriend Anderson East on the red carpet. She even shared their adorable photo on Instagram and captioned it, “Fun times @CMT awards. My date @andersoneast”
Lambert rarely posts photos of East on Instagram, but that doesn’t mean that they have split as some tabloids claim. In fact, she revealed one of the reasons why she fell in love with her boyfriend. During an interview with CMT After Midnight, Miranda claimed that she needs a partner who would share her interests on music and dogs or else the relationship wouldn’t work.
“Obviously meeting someone it’s like, ‘Hey, would you like to meet my seven rescue dogs?’ It’s not normal,” Lambert said. “So, anybody that’s friends with me knows they have to love my dogs, or they’re not friends with me anymore. It’s been fun to watch [Anderson] fall in love with rescue dogs more because they pretty much run my life.”
Miranda recently shared an adorable photo collage of her and her boyfriend cuddling their dogs on Instagram. She captioned the photos, “Love without condition…Celebrating Mutts today reminded me how lucky I am to come home to the sweetest little family in the world.”
When Miranda Lambert was still married to Blake Shelton, she tried to find ways to make her dogs less burdensome on her hubby. According to Us Weekly, her first pup stayed with her grandmother half the time while two of them live on the farm. The blonde belle also revealed that she takes care of their mutts at home.
“I have four that are in our house most of the time. But I looked at Blake one day and realized if I don’t give him a break from these dogs, he might go crazy,” Miranda said. “I want to keep them all, but I need Blake to be good with that too, so I built them their own house outside of ours.”
Miranda Lambert’s marriage with Blake Shelton may not have worked out, but she seems contented and happy with Anderson East. According to E! News, the “Vice” hitmaker and her boyfriend have been talking about taking their relationship to the next level.
“She wants to get married again and have children soon. That has been an open conversation between her and Anderson. He wants the same,” their source said.
“Miranda is very happy with Anderson. They have gotten very close. Her friends think this is the guy for her,” their source added.
