Ryan Edwards Accused Of Using Drugs, Maci Bookout Weighs In By Discussing ‘Scary Stuff’
Ryan Edwards is being accused of using drugs once again.
Following a couple of odd moments during last year’s season of Teen Mom OG, which many assumed were the result of drug use, Maci Bookout was seen receiving a concerning text about the father of her 8-year-old son.
During last night’s new episode of Teen Mom OG Season 6B, Maci Bookout confessed to the camera, “I got some information about Ryan and certain things he’s doing and stuff that aren’t very good at all…. I’m not gonna go into specifics. It’s like scary stuff. Really scary stuff.”
According to a recap shared by Us Weekly on May 22, a producer pressed Maci Bookout for more information in regard to what the text message revealed, but for some reason, she chose to keep the contents of the message to herself.
“People are gonna be like, ‘Oh he’s doing drugs.’ I did not know the severity of what is going on,” she said.
Later on, Maci Bookout was seen chatting with her husband, Taylor McKinney, and revealed that her main concern was for the safety of her oldest child, Bentley Edwards.
“Obviously our No. 1 priority is Bentley’s safety, but [Ryan Edwards] is his dad… we have to get Jen and Larry on board,” she said. “The goal is to get him healthy and happy and back to normal. If I can’t do that, I at least have to try.”

Ryan Edwards was accused of drug use last season after he appeared to be bug-eyed during a number of scenes from the show. However, nothing was ever proved and up until recently, the rumors had died down.
In other Ryan Edwards news, the reality dad and his fiancee, Mackenzie Standifer, are preparing to tie the knot later this year. As fans saw earlier this season, Ryan Edwards proposed to Standifer during a dinner cruise on a riverboat after just months of dating. A short time later, Standifer spoke to MTV News about their engagement.
“I just thought we were going on a date, but he rented out a riverboat and nobody was there,” Standifer recalled. “It was just us on a riverboat, on the water, and it was beautiful. We finished dinner, and we were looking at each other. He asked me to stand up, and that’s when asked.”
Although Standifer didn’t go into detail about what she and Ryan Edwards had decided on at the time, she confirmed they had booked a church and picked a date for their wedding.
“We already booked the church — we’re getting married in November 2017,” she revealed. “It was where Jen and Larry got married.”
Ryan Edwards’ fiancee caught the bouquet during Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney’s wedding in Florida in October of last year.
Following news of Ryan Edwards’ engagement, Maci Bookout spoke to OK! Magazine about her thoughts of Mackenzie Standifer.
“She’s very mature and she’s taken some of the pressure off of the two of us,” Bookout told the magazine last month. “[Mackenzie Standifer] has a child so she understands that when I may say something… [Ryan Edwards] may take it one way and she can kind of explain, ‘No, this is what she’s talking about.'”
Ryan Edwards has not yet commented on the ongoing rumors regarding his potential drug use.
