Amanda Bynes Threatens Tabloid With Lawsuit For Spreading Naked Salon Rumors
Amanda Bynes has threatened to sue the tabloid that claimed she had recently walked around a New York City salon without her clothes, according to ABC News.
The embattled actress explained the rumors were completely false. As a result of the drama they have caused, she is strongly considering filing a lawsuit against In Touch magazine.
According to reports, the tabloid published an article last Thursday which claimed the actress was walking around Beach Bum Tanning salon completely nude while hunting for a pair of goggles. Of course, Bynes claims the incident never happened.
“She didn’t seem to care that everyone saw her naked. She seemed totally out of it. There was definitely something wrong with her,” the magazine wrote.
Amanda Bynes fired back with an email to Celebuzz. “That’s not true, I’ll sue,” she explained.
In September, the former Nickelodeon actress spoke with People regarding her health, her acting career, and her decision to enter the world of fashion.
“I am doing amazing,” Bynes said. “I am retired as an actor. I am moving to New York to launch my career. I am going to do a fashion line.”
If Amanda Bynes moves forward with her lawsuit against In Touch magazine for spreading lies about her naked tanning habits, then she’ll be in very good company. Actor Tom Cruise recently filed a $50 million lawsuit against Life & Style and In Touch magazine for stating that he had abandoned his daughter Siri after divorcing Katie Holmes.
“Tom doesn’t go around suing people. He’s not a litigious guy. But when these sleaze peddlers try to make money with disgusting lies about his relationship with his child, you bet he’s going to sue,” the actor’s lawyer explained.
Amanda Bynes has been charged with DUI and two counts of hit-and-run for her role in a series of increasingly bizarre driving accidents in California. The last film the actress appeared in was the 2010 Emma Stone comedy Easy A.
