Amber Portwood Hints At A ‘Teen Mom OG’ Season 7 Return After Farrah Abraham Calls Her Bluff

Amber Portwood may not be quitting Teen Mom OG after all.

Although the reality star announced on Twitter last week that she would not be featured in the potentially upcoming seventh season of the MTV reality series, a new tweet suggests that she may be in the process of making a deal with the network which would ensure her return.

“It seems that I might be getting the respect I deserve from MTV.. Awaiting patiently.. We’ll see,” Amber Portwood tweeted on December 17, just days after confirming plans to exit the show.

Amber Portwood and her co-star, Farrah Abraham, have been at odds for months and during the recent taping of the Teen Mom OG Season 6 reunion, the two women came to blows.

As fans saw on the show, Amber Portwood stormed on stage after the topic of her fiancé, Matthew Baier, came up between Abraham and her boyfriend, Simon Saran, who were filming their own segment with Dr. Drew Pinsky. Although Saran was about to apologize for comparing Baier to a pedophile on his social media page months prior, Abraham butted in and said that Baier does look like a pedophile, which quickly garnered a reaction from Amber Portwood.

While one fan on Twitter confronted Amber Portwood with the idea that she was only threatening to quit Teen Mom OG in an effort to get more money out of MTV, the reality star quickly shot the idea down and confirmed that it was actually someone involved with the series that led her to make the decision.

“No not at all… Another person ignorantly talking as if they know anything,” Amber Portwood explained to the fan. “Money is not a problem with or without MTV.”

Amber Portwood chose to announce her exit from Teen Mom OG with a series of posts on her Instagram and Twitter pages last week.

“I’ll be leaving [Teen Mom OG]. The lack of respect is too much anymore! But still sending all my love! You can’t force a person to show you respect but you can refuse to be disrespected,” read one of her posts.

“Sad to say but I’m not going to be a part of [Teen Mom OG]. The way I have been portrayed and treated is unfair. @MTV sending all my love,” said another.

Amber Portwood went on to reveal what it would take for her to come back to the show.

“If I was treated fairly it wouldn’t be an issue but it’s been nothing but disrespect since the reunion show,” she continued. “Nothing has been dealt with or has made me feel any safer to even move on with people who have continuously hidden things from the network. The day I’m shown some respect by the people I’ve worked with for 8 years is the day I’ll be back. I’ve sacrificed a lot for this show. @MTV.”

While Amber Portwood appeared to be ready to leave the series a short time ago, her co-star and on-screen nemesis, Farrah Abraham, called her bluff days later claiming she and her co-stars, including Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout, would never quit the show.

“I’m out of the drama. None of the girls will quit — they like the attention, need the money and their boyfriends need the money too much to quit,” Abraham told Us Weekly on December 16. “I get [Amber Portwood] is embarrassed of her actions, but she flip flops and will be right back to filming. This is dramatic. She can quit and not make it public if she really was done.”

Amber Portwood has not yet addressed Abraham’s comments to the magazine.
