Most Porn Stars Believe In God, According To Retired Erotic Actor Ron Jeremy

Retired porn star Ron Jeremy discussed the religious beliefs of his former peers during a speech at a Michigan church on Sunday. Jeremy, one of the America’s most well-known erotic actors, addressed a congregation of approximately 2,000 from the pulpit of the Daybreak Church in Hudsonville.

Jeremy claims that the bulk of pornography performers embrace God and are not out-of-control pagans. The retired adult film actor has appeared in more than 2,000 skin flicks.

He also noted that pornography can be harmful to families and only those that are happy and healthy should partake in it. Ron also feels that the divide between himself and many evangelical Christians hinges upon divergent views on sex before marriage, according to the Huffington Post.

The erotica star had this to say from the Michigan church pulpit:

“I don’t think it’s a problem having my kind of lifestyle as long as you’re honest. We’re not robots. We don’t just play ‘hide the bacon’ and then go home and believe in atheism. The Lord is fine with marriage. We all agree on that. But where we differ is that I believe in recreational sex, and the religious folks don’t.”

Pastor Craig Gross, a faith leader who runs XXXChuch.com, was also invited to speak on Sunday. Gross’ ministry reportedly seeks to help Christians struggling with pornography addiction. The reasoning behind Ron Jeremy’s appearance was that the retired actor might be able to bring folks to church who otherwise would not attend, according to WZZM-TV.

Although the idea of encouraging more people to come to worship services was likely well-received by church members, the congregation was reportedly divided about handing Jeremy a microphone. Gross partnered up with the erotic performer in the past. The pair worked together on an advertising campaign designed to educate parents about the dangers of pornography on the internet.
