Angelina Jolie Will Reportedly Spend Her Thanksgiving With Family, But What About Brad Pitt?

Angelina Jolie and her children will soon celebrate Thanksgiving as a family.

As her divorce and custody battle with Brad Pitt continue to play out in the media, Angelina Jolie’s attorney, Laura Wasser, spoke out about what the 41-year-old actress has planned for the upcoming holiday.

“I’m going to imagine that she’s going do what most of us are doing, which is spending it with her family,” Wasser revealed to Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier.

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce on September 19 and requested full physical custody of their six children — Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8. Meanwhile, she requested her estranged husband have nothing more than visitation, and a short time later, he was accused of getting physical with Maddox during a flight from France to California on their private plane.

Although Brad Pitt has since been cleared of all charges by the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services, his custody battle with Angelina Jolie is far from over, and at this point, he appears to still be limited when it comes to spending unsupervised time with his kids. And while his Thanksgiving plans have not yet been confirmed, he likely won’t be able to celebrate the holiday like he has in years past. In fact, one particular report claimed Pitt would not be able to see his children at all on Thanksgiving.

“[Brad Pitt] and the children are upset and saddened as they begin to plan for their first Thanksgiving apart from each other,” a source told Hollywood Life last week. “[Angelina Jolie] and Brad have been discussing, via their assistants, how they are going to handle Thanksgiving with the children.”

“It looks like the kids might be eating a lot of Turkey as [Angelina Jolie] insists they spend Thanksgiving day with her while Brad is asking that the children come over on another day, maybe Friday or Saturday to enjoy a traditional dinner with him and his side of the family,” the insider explained.

While Angelina Jolie has arranged for quite the cozy living arrangement in Malibu, California, by the beach, her kids with Pitt are reportedly struggling to cope with their parent’s split.

“The kids are not handling the news well and are still begging their parents to get back together but [Angelina Jolie] has been letting them know, that’s not going to happen,” said the source.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt appeared to have one of the rare success stories in Hollywood prior to their split months ago. While the actors may not have started out their relationship in the best place (Pitt was reportedly married to Jennifer Aniston at the time), they were together for 12 years and welcomed a total of six kids into their family during their relationship.

After the start of their relationship, Pitt adopted Angelina Jolie’s oldest son, Maddox, whom she adopted from Cambodia, as his own. In the years that followed, they adopted two more kids, Pax from Vietnam and Zahara from Ethiopia.

Since parting ways, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been spotted publicly very few times. Earlier this month, after spending weeks out of the spotlight, Pitt attended a couple of events in Los Angeles, one of which was to promote his latest film, Allied. Meanwhile, Jolie has been spotted a couple of times in Malibu with her kids and made just one public appearance last week.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have yet to publicly confirm their plans for Thanksgiving.
