Could Hillary Clinton Still Become The Next President Of The United States?
Is it possible for Hillary Clinton to take the White House, even after Donald Trump was declared the winner of this election? Believe it or not, there are reportedly some ways that could lead to a shocking turn of events — at least to the hope of her supporters. The Heavy reports that the former New York Senator may still have a slim chance of actually winning this election.
The Heavy reports that the Electoral College has not yet voted on the outcome of this election — even though Donald Trump has been presented as the next President of the United States. Even though Trump won enough support for the Electoral vote, that’s not a guarantee that each state will vote to approve his election. In other words, each state could — in theory — choose to vote for Hillary Clinton.

A petition is currently circulating, which addresses the Electoral College, that wants the election of Donald Trump to be ignored. The reasoning behind the petition is that Trump is perceived as “unfit,” and that Hillary Clinton had won the popular vote. So far, more than 4 million people have signed the petition. While it’s possible that millions more could sign this petition, there is absolutely no guarantee that the request will be considered.

It’s also possible that a vote recount may find differences since the numbers between Clinton and Trump were rather close. However, neither candidate has asked for a recount to be conducted. Nonetheless, Clinton lost some states by incredibly thin margins. This has some of her followers wondering if the votes might have been miscounted. If those votes were indeed miscounted, could the election of Donald Trump be an epic mistake?

International Business Times reports that the Electoral College is scheduled to vote on the winner of the election in December. Supporters of Hillary Clinton are not ready to give up hope that something could be done to prevent a Donald Trump presidency. Her supporters hope that a “faithless elector” may cast his or her vote for Hillary, instead of allowing Donald Trump into the White House after losing the popular vote.

Believe it or not, so-called “faithless electors” have played a role in the history of U.S. politics. The Heavy reports that there have been 157 incidents of this phenomena since the creation of the Electoral College. That means that a “faithless elector” scenario in the 2016 election is not completely out of the realm of possibility. However, is it a probability? In order for “faithless electors” to ultimately decide this election by voting for Hillary Clinton, Trump would have to lose his considerable lead in the Electoral College.

Do you think there’s a remote possibility that Hillary Clinton could still become the next President of the United States? Or do you think her supporters are simply having a hard time coming to terms with Donald Trump’s election victory?
