Jimmy Fallon’s Drinking Is ‘Out Of Control’ NBC Insiders Claim, Could It Cost Him The ‘Tonight Show’?

Jimmy Fallon’s future on the Tonight Show might be jeopardy.

NBC execs are worried that Fallon’s drinking problem has gotten out of control and cautioned him to cut back.

Will Fallon curb his drinking in time?

Radar Online reported that Fallon’s drinking problem has become a serious matter, according to an inside source at NBC.

“There were fears that Fallon was out of control and something could happen while he’s out drinking. Things got so serious at one stage that execs feared that Jimmy was splitting up with his wife over his drinking, but they patched things up.”

While one source close to the situation said that Fallon “is a heavy drinker” and “needs image rehabilitation,” another friend of Fallon offered a different perspective.

“He knows he needs to be responsible. He has two kids. He has cut back on his drinking,” the source shared.

Fallon is known to have a few drinks after work, but it’s a habit his wife, Nancy Juvonen, doesn’t approve.

“They have two daughters Winnie, 3, and Frances, 1; Nancy works, and she doesn’t have time to babysit Jimmy, too,” a source stated.

Fallon also has a history of suffering alcohol-related injuries.

According to Page Six, the Tonight Show host almost lost a finger when he slipped on a rug at his house in 2015.

A few months after cutting his finger, Fallon chipped a tooth while opening up a medicine bottle.

Then, in October of last year, Fallon cut his hand yet again when he tripped and fell on a broken bottle of Jägermeister.

The host was sent to Massachusetts General Hospital to close the wound and later appeared at a party sporting fresh bandages.

“Nothing that a few Band-Aids couldn’t fix,” he told fans.

To make matters worse, the Daily Mail reports that Fallon’s drinking was fueled by his insane jealousy of CBS’s late night host, James Corden.

Fallon’s jealousy started after some of his staff left to join Corden’s crew on CBS.

“Fallon is insanely jealous of Corden,” a source revealed. “There’s been some upheaval, and Jimmy hasn’t handled it well. He’s at the top of his game, but he’s insecure.”

Despite all the negative press, NBC just extended Jimmy Fallon’s contract through 2021.

According to Gossip Cop, Fallon also has the full support of Bob Greenblatt, the chairman of NBC.

“Jimmy is one of NBC’s biggest assets, and we’re extremely proud that The Tonight Show continues to be the late-night leader in all metrics, including ratings and social-media awareness,” Greenblatt said in an official statement.

“He’s in a class by himself, and we’re also looking forward to him hosting the Golden Globes in January,” the chairman continued. “As a producer and star he delivers over 200 hours of television a year, and any suggestion that we have concerns about his behavior or have given him any kind of ‘warning’ is completely false.”

Meanwhile, nothing has seemed amiss between Fallon and producers on the Tonight Show.

In fact, according to Billboard, Justin Timberlake recently stopped by the show and performed the classic Camp Winnipesaukee bit with Fallon.

This time, the Fallon and Timberlake sang the ’90s hit “Ironic” by Alanis Morisette before being scolded by the camp counselor, Mr. Fletcher.

“You two potato heads need to go to sleep!” Fletcher, played by A.D. Miles, shouted.

Fletcher later returned and told Fallon and Timberlake to keep quiet or risk losing snack time.

“What about s’mores and Tootsie Rolls?” Fallon replied.

“If you hike your shorts up any higher we’re gonna see s’more of your Tootsie Roll,” Timberlake responded.

Apart from the sing along, The Daily Beast reports that Timberlake also discussed his recent voting incident in Tennessee.

“What have you been up to?” Fallon innocently asked him. “We never talk.”

“I recently voted,” Timberlake replied. “Super quiet, under the radar.”

Timberlake caused quite the stir when he shared a picture of himself in a Tennessee voting booth. Apparently, it is illegal to take a photo of a polling booth in Tennessee.

The penalty for such an action is 30 days in jail with a $50 fine.

“I didn’t hear that, you voted early?” the host joked back. “In Tennessee?”

“Yeah, yeah, yeah, went home to Tennessee and voted,” he continued. “Super quiet, in and out. No one even knew.”

Timberlake then encouraged fans to vote but cautioned them about taking photos.

“Get out and vote,” he said. “Damn straight. But don’t take a picture of yourself in there.”

“I had no idea!” Fallon admitted. “I thought, this is going to be great! Inspire people to vote! Nope.”

Although Timberlake could face serious consequences for the photo, the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office isn’t going to press charges.

“No one in our office is currently investigating this matter nor will we be using our limited resources to do so,” a rep shared.
