Andy Cohen Begging ‘TODAY’ Execs To Replace Billy Bush; Bravo Host ‘Believes He’s Proven Himself”

Is Andy Cohen over his days at Bravo? The Watch What Happens Live host is allegedly gunning for the open gig at the Today show, after Billy Bush was officially fired from NBC yesterday. The creator of the Real Housewives franchise “believes he’s proven himself” for the job.

Radar Online reported that the Bravo honcho has apparently been working all of his career for a hosting gig like this.

“Andy believes he’s proven himself adept at the type of conversation that is required on the third hour of Today.

“It’s almost like Watch What Happens was an audition for this.”

Billy Bush was fired from Today following the tape recording leak of Bush and Donald Trump making derogatory comments about sexually assaulting a woman back in 2005.

The seasoned television pro, 48, reportedly told friends that he wouldn’t be caught dead misbehaving like Billy Bush.

“One thing NBC can be assured of — they won’t have to worry about Andy talking about p***y!”

NBC sent an internal memo yesterday announcing that Bush. 44, and executives had reached a departure settlement, according to Radar Online. This message came less than two weeks after the 2005 recording exposed Trump and Bush’s lewd conversation about women.

“We have reached a settlement that is mutually acceptable to both sides. The terms are confidential and I am not at liberty to discuss those terms. But both parties have agreed and are okay with the settlement.”

While sources say that Bush is happy with the settlement he received from NBC, he is “devastated” about his unexpected career collapse and has been “frantically searching” for a new L.A.-based television hosting job.

“Billy is not going to give up on hosting.”

Andy Cohen On Having Vicki Gunvalson Take Lie Detector Test At Upcoming ‘RHOC’ Reunion

Andy Cohen had a minor slip-up last week when he accidentally tweeted out who some of the Real Housewives were voting for.

Us Weekly obtained screenshots of the now-deleted tweets.

“NJ are Trump. I so don’t care it’s all good. I think all the RHOC are trumpies and g[o]d knows who else. All the RHOA and RHONY are HRC. Most of BH too. I …”

It looks like the Bravo host was probably trying to send a direct message, but instead entered the message in the tweet box and hit send.

Andy Cohen has publicly voiced his dislike for Trump in the past, so it is assumed he will be voting for Hillary Clinton.

If Cohen is really going after this Today show gig, he had better keep his name out of any scandalous drama.

Andy Cohen is an Emmy Award-winning host, producer and author. He wrote a memoir called Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture and is the first openly gay host of an American late-night talk show.

Cohen had been head of development at Bravo for 10 years, he resigned in 2013 and continues to host WWHL and is the executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise. It seems that he might be ready to move on to bigger and better things — like the Today show.
