Gwen Stefani Slammed By Gavin Rossdale For Publicizing His Affair And Moving On With Blake Shelton
Gavin Rossdale is tired of hearing about Gwen Stefani. After months of being bashed by Stefani and reading about her romance with Blake Shelton, Rossdale is finally speaking out about his ex-wife.
What did the Bush frontman say about Stefani publicizing their divorce?
According to Hollywood Life, the only thing Rossdale wants to do is move on from the split and start living his own life.
“It’s like enough already,” Rossdale said in an interview with The Sunday Times. “I’ve got to move on. Everyone has got to move on.”
Stefani’s romance with Shelton made headlines after fans watched their relationship blossom on The Voice.
The No Doubt alum later wrote about her marital problems on her latest album with songs like “Misery” and “Use To Love You.”
“I went through a real period of anger, but I felt like this song was almost like a forgiveness song,” Stefani shared, alluding to Rossdale’s affair. “It was the beginning of hell. Like six, seven, eight months of torture, trying to figure out this big secret.”
Stefani has clearly moved on with her life, and things look pretty serious between her and Shelton. Now, Rossdale is ready to do the same, but he doesn’t plan on dwelling on the past any longer.
“Somehow you have to put one foot after the other and make it happen,” he stated.
ET Online is reporting that Rossdale had a difficult time dealing with all the negative reports surrounding his divorce with Stefani. In order to deal with all the pressure, Rossdale turned to his children for support.
“But, you know, for me, it’s just thinking about the boys and how to prioritize them,” he said. “I have an incredible life with them, and that’s what matters. You can’t keep up with all the vitriol. Just don’t get into all that.”
Rossdale and Gwen Stefani parted ways over a year ago. The couple had three boys during their marriage named Zuma, Kingston, and Apollo.
“[They’re the] better versions of me,” Rossdale said of his children. “I’m going to try and take all the things I’ve ever done wrong and keep them away from that.”
Meanwhile, with Stefani’s relationship with Shelton still going strong, she recently opened up about collaborating with the country star on their track, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.” (Clip below)
“Anytime I’ve collaborated with anyone, it’s always my favorite,” Stefani explained. “But to do something with him — because he’s so talented and comes from such a different world — to make music together, it was just so shocking! So amazing to do it live and share it with everybody.”
Stefani’s relationship with Shelton has led to some speculation about a coming wedding and possible pregnancy.
Extra TV, however, is reporting that Stefani is not planning on tying the knot anytime soon, let alone starting a family with Shelton.
Although a wedding might not be in their immediate future, Shelton recently discussed how his romance with Stefani came about on Chelsea.
“Next thing you know, this person that I kinda knew – I had worked with on the show [but] I didn’t really know her that well, Gwen, that first time,” Shelton told Chelsea Handler. “Just, ‘Hey, how ya doing’?’ And then to all of a sudden [I] find out she’s going through basically the same exact same thing, at the same time.”
People is reporting that Shelton also revealed how his relationship with Stefani inspired some of the music on his latest album, If I’m Honest.
In the end, Shelton admitted that he is now the happiest he’s ever been.
“It was like being handed this gift of a friend who was going through the exact same thing at the exact same time,” Stefani explained. “And then everything flipped. It went from horrible to, like, hopeful and like, ‘Wow, God, you just don’t know what’s gonna happen next.'”
