Blake Shelton may have big plans for Gwen Stefani’s upcoming 47th birthday.
According to reports, after almost a year of dating, Shelton could potentially be planning to propose to Gwen while the couple spend some time together for Stefani’s upcoming birthday on October 3.
An insider recently revealed to Hollywood Life that the couple are planning on spending some “quality time together” with Stefani’s three children, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo, to celebrate her big day, and revealed that Gwen is “hoping” that their time together will culminate in a marriage proposal.
According to the source, after months of wedding and marriage rumors surrounding the couple, Gwen “is definitely expecting and hoping for a ring” of the engagement kind from Shelton when she celebrates her birthday in the coming days.
“[Gwen] can’t wait to celebrate her birthday with Blake and her kids,” the source said of Stefani’s birthday plans, adding that Blake has made no secret of the fact that he’s ready to settle down and propose engagement with his girlfriend of almost a year.
The insider admitted that Shelton, who divorced ex-wife Miranda Lambert last year, “wants to marry Gwen” but supposedly hasn’t yet revealed if he’s planning on giving Stefani a 47th birthday to remember.
“[Blake] has not told anyone his ideas or timing for popping the question,” Hollywood Life‘s insider noted of when Shelton will finally pop the question to Gwen. “He is keeping that very close to his chest.”
Notably, Stefani’s upcoming birthday also comes towards the end of her “This Is What The Truth Feels Like Tour,” which People previously hinted could be the perfect time for Blake to propose.
“Everyone is expecting it to happen at some point,” a source close to Gwen and Blake revealed to People of a potential engagement earlier this year, noting that “it seems the timing [for an engagement] just hasn’t been right,” as Stefani has been away and on the road.
TMZ then went on to add even more fuel to the Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton wedding fire after reporting back in August that the twosome had allegedly already hired a wedding planner for their big day, despite Shelton not officially proposing to Stefani just yet.
People‘s insider also confirmed a potential wedding for Shelton and Stefani in the not too distant future, confirming that although Blake, who has been married twice before, is still yet to get down on one knee for his potential bride, he and Gwen have allegedly already been planning their wedding without an official engagement.
“There’s no date set,” confirmed an insider of an impending wedding, “but they’re planning ahead and having fun talking about it.”
But as fans wait for Shelton to officially propose, reports are suggesting that Gwen and Blake are making no secret of their wedding plans.
“They say things like, ‘When we get married’ all the time,” a source recently told Us Weekly, noting that Gwen and Blake have now made getting married a “priority” in their busy schedules, suggesting they’ll likely enter 2017 as a married couple.
“[Shelton and Stefani] have plans for their future together,” the insider continued amid the wedding rumors, “and have talked about where they will live and the possibility of more children.”
Gwen and Blake have also done nothing to dispel the wedding rumors in recent weeks, as Stefani even played coy and failed to deny an impending wedding when asked directly about getting married during a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“Before I make plans, because I make plans way ahead of time, tell me when you’re getting married because I need to know,” Ellen joked of the rampant wedding rumors that constantly swirl around Gwen and Blake earlier this month. “I just need to know so I can clear that schedule.”
Stefani then didn’t dispel the reports of an upcoming wedding, joking in response to the comedian, “Oh, you’re crazy. Okay, I’ll let you know.”
