Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Fighting Over Where To Live After Wedding: Will They Settle In Oklahoma?

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s romance has allegedly hit a bump in the road, as the couple are allegedly fighting over where to settle down.

According to a new report by Life & Style, Blake and Gwen have been discussing where in the U.S. they plan to live permanently as the wedding rumors swirl, but haven’t been seeing eye to eye when it comes to settling down in Blake’s choice of Oklahoma or Gwen’s home, California.

An insider close to the couple alleged to the magazine that Shelton and Stefani have been butting heads in recent weeks over where they’re going to live because Gwen “feels she could never ditch California and live in Oklahoma as a full-time resident.”

According to a source, despite being spotted spending a whole lot of time with her boyfriend in Oklahoma since she and Shelton went public with their romance back in October 2015, Stefani is reluctant to move so far away from her family on a more permanent basis.

“Her parents live there. The boys are in school there and all their friends are there,” the magazine continued of Gwen’s ties to the West Coast, adding that Stefani is also reluctant to bring her three children, Zuma, Kingston, and Apollo, to Oklahoma because she doesn’t want them to be so far away from their dad, her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

But while Life & Style alleged that their location drama has become “an issue” for Gwen and Blake, who will celebrate their one year anniversary next month, it sounds like the “God Gave Me You” singer is doing all he can to make his girlfriend happy.

“Blake suggested they live in Oklahoma the two weeks a month when Gavin has the boys and go back to LA when Gwen has custodial time,” the source revealed of how Shelton is trying to mould the couple’s living situation around Stefani’s kids, but noted that things will get tough with the boys’ school schedule.

But amid reports claiming Blake and Gwen, who met while filming The Voice back in 2014, have been fighting over where to live, other sources are revealing that Shelton may have already gone ahead and found a place for himself and Stefani in the Sooner state.

Daily Mail reported earlier this month that Blake Shelton is currently constructing a “Hawaiian-style lakehouse” near Tishomingo, Oklahoma, which the site speculated is a potential wedding gift for Gwen Stefani amid reports the twosome are planning to get married before the year is out.

Daily Mail also went as far as to claim that Blake has actually been getting his multiple Oklahoma properties ready for married life with Gwen, claiming that Shelton feels his southern homes will “be the perfect family base for Gwen and her children for when they settle into married life.”

Stefani and Shelton haven’t officially confirmed that there’s a wedding in the works, though rumors have been swirling for weeks that the couple are planning to get married after TMZ revealed back in August that Gwen and her potential soon-to-be husband have already hired a wedding planner for their big day.

People also reported Blake and Gwen’s big wedding plans earlier this year, revealing that Shelton and Stefani are “planning ahead and having fun talking about it” and are “committed and planning for a future together.”

But while Gwen and Blake are so far staying pretty tight-lipped as the wedding rumors run rampant, Us Weekly is also confirming an impending wedding for The Voice couple.

“They say things like, ‘When we get married’ all the time,” a source told the site, noting that Gwen and Blake can’t wait to get married. “They have plans for their future together and have talked about where they will live and the possibility of more children.”

Adding that both Shelton and Stefani are “in it for the long haul” when it comes to their almost year-long romance, the insider added that Stefani and the country star have now made getting married “a priority.”
