Blake Shelton Meets With Gwen Stefani’s Ex-Husband Gavin Rossdale Amid Wedding Rumors

Blake Shelton reportedly recently met with Gwen Stefani’s ex-husband Gavin Rossdale to discuss his close relationship with his three children.

New reports are claiming that Blake and Gavin recently sat down together to clear the air about Shelton’s increasing presence in the lives of the former couple’s three sons, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, amid reports suggesting that Shelton and Stefani are planning to get married before the year is out.

“Blake insisted that he and Gavin have a few drinks and talk about boundaries with Gwen and with their sons,” an insider recently told Radar Online of Shelton and Rossdale’s recent sit down.

According to the site’s source, Blake made sure he cleared the air with Gavin for Gwen’s sake and supposedly made it clear that, despite him spending so much time with Stefani’s children, Rossdale will always be their dad.

“Blake’s man enough to know Gavin must be feeling insecure about his growing presence in his sons’ lives,” the site revealed. “He wanted to clear the air and assure Gavin that he’ll always be their dad.”

“It was a smart and compassionate move and it’s helped Gwen get on better with Gavin, who doesn’t feel like some kind of axe murderer when he’s around the family anymore,” the insider continued of Blake and Rossdale’s recent meeting.

And it sounds like Blake’s sit down did the trick, as the site confirmed that Rossdale and Shelton “have definitely come to respect each other” after clearing the air when it comes to Shelton’s close relationship with his kids.

Stefani was married to Rossdale for 14 years before the couple finalized their divorce earlier this year, just months after Blake split with his wife of four years, Miranda Lambert.

Reports claiming that Blake Shelton and Gavin Rossdale recently had a sit down talk about his and Gwen Stefani’s kids comes just months after Hollywood Life reported that Rossdale was feeling “jealous” that his and Gwen’s three children had grown so close to the country singer during his 10-month romance with their mom.

The site revealed that Shelton, who does not have children of his own, is “amazing” with Stefani’s brood and loves doing activities with them, which has left Gavin feeling pretty left out.

“It drives Gavin nuts that his kids have bonded with Blake. He hates that they’re spending so much time with him. He doesn’t have any say in it… and it’s killing him,” an insider told the site earlier this year.

“Blake loves any excuse to get outside and get dirty,” the insider continued of Shelton, “so he’s a big hit with Gwen’s kids.”

But it sounds like Shelton and Rossdale have now talked things out when it comes to Gwen and Gavin’s three children, just in time for Shelton and Stefani’s widely reported upcoming wedding.

According to a report by Life & Style, Stefani and Shelton are allegedly planning on getting married at Blake’s ranch in Oklahoma this Christmas, and will more than likely have Stefani’s kids in the wedding party.

Blake and Gwen are yet to officially comment on the wedding and marriage reports, though TMZ confirmed that the couple, who first went public with their romance back in October 2015, have already hired a wedding planner to plan their big day.

People also confirmed the wedding rumors that are constantly swirling around Shelton and Stefani, reporting that Blake and Gwen, who met while filming The Voice back in 2014, are serious and have recently been discussing a wedding.

An insider confirmed that the two musicians are “planning ahead and having fun talking about” an upcoming wedding and are currently “committed and planning for a future together.”
