Tottenham Hotspur will look to capitalize on a golden opportunity to vault into the English Premier League top four on Sunday when they face the struggling Sunderland Black Cats in a match that will stream live from Spurs' home in London, White Hart Lane.
Along with Manchester City and Everton, the Premier League's top two teams after Match Week Five, Tottenham Hotspur is one of only three clubs to remain without a defeat in league play so far in the young 2016-2017 season.

But due to a pair of draws to go with their two wins, Tottenham sit in seventh place on just eight points. Assuming they can take advantage of David Moyes and his hapless Sunderland charges, however, Spurs would finish Sunday's match with 11 points — good enough for third place, launching them past the formidable quartet of Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal in the process.
Third, of course, is where Tottenham finished last season in the Premier League, earning them their first berth in the UEFA Champions League since 2010 under then-manager Harry Redknapp.
Under current boss Mauricio Pochettino, the Spurs' return to the Champions League was less than inspiring, as they fell 2-1 to A.S. Monaco on Wednesday, sending a crowd of 80,000 at Wembley Stadium home in a sullen mood.
"It's not enough to talk only with words, you need to show the right attitude, more than we showed in the first half," said Tottenham France goalkeeper and Captain Hugo Lloris. "It was a privilege to play at Wembley, the atmosphere was unbelievable and the fans deserved more from us."

But Pochettino may be considering some tweaks to his starting XI anyway.
"It's true that after Wednesday I am thinking about rotating the team a bit," the manager said on Friday. "We'll see what happens tomorrow when we assess all the players and take the best decision for the team."
