Did Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Spend The Night At Gwen’s ‘Wedding Gift’ House?
Blake Shelton’s new island-inspired house overlooking Lake Texoma was initially thought to be a wedding gift for Gwen Stefani. However, it looks like the couple has already spent the night in the Oklahoma abode, and they possibly had a luau-themed house party there over Labor Day Weekend.
On Thursday, it was reported that the construction of Blake Shelton’s “Hawaiian-style lakehouse” surrounded by palm trees was almost complete. Blake already owns one lakeside property in Oklahoma, but the Daily Mail claims that he decided to build a second house nearby so that “Gwen’s family and friends have somewhere fun and quirky to stay when they come to visit.” The blue and white house and the surrounding guest houses with thatched roofs were reportedly going to be a wedding gift for Gwen, but she and Blake haven’t even announced that they’re engaged yet.
If the house really was meant to be a wedding present, it looks like Blake Shelton decided to gift it to his future bride a bit early. On Sunday, Gwen Stefani let her fans know that she and Blake Shelton are spending Labor Day weekend together by sharing a sweet Instagram selfie of one of their snuggle sessions. Gwen and Blake appear to be wearing colorful Hawaiian shirts, as does the person in the background.
Because Blake’s new house is supposed to have a Hawaiian theme and he and Gwen are wearing Hawaiian shirts in Gwen’s selfie, some of Gwen’s Instagram followers began speculating that the couple celebrated the competition of the house yesterday.
“So happy you’re enjoying Oklahoma together!!! But looks like a Hawaiian shirt theme going on….To celebrate the Lake House???!!!!” one fan wrote.
Gwen’s three sons from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale—Kingston (10), Zuma (8), and Apollo (2)—joined Gwen and Blake at the housewarming party. Gwen shared a Snapchat video of Kingston goofing around with the grandpa filter, and it looks like he’s also wearing a shirt with a tropical theme.
While it’s entirely possible that Blake Shelton’s girlfriend and her family members will be spending a lot of time at his new island-themed getaway, it’s unlikely that Blake was thinking about a wedding gift for Gwen Stefani when he began building the main house, guest houses, and pool. In fact, he was still married to Miranda Lambert when he purchased the lakefront real estate.
In May, 2015, Miranda Lambert told Country Living that she and Blake were building a new house in Oklahoma, and she was trying to make sure that the property would be dog-friendly.
“We’re building a new house, and I’ve been saving inspiration on Pinterest. A friend of mine recently said, ‘I can see your Pinterest boards, and all you have on there are dog rooms,'” Lambert said. “My husband and I have 15 rescue animals, and I spend way too much time planning our pets’ spaces. I’m like, okay, I probably need to move on to the laundry room!”

Miranda and Blake announced that they were divorcing two months after Miranda told Country Living about their house plans, and Us Weekly reported that Blake Shelton was going to keep his 1,200-acre ranch near the small town of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. The ranch is about an hour’s drive from his two lake homes.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, many Tishomingo residents have said that they prefer Gwen Stefani to Miranda because the “Make Me Like You” singer is friendlier to locals and interact with them more. They believe that Gwen will fit right in if she and Blake get married and make Oklahoma their home base. The pop star has even won over the state’s governor, Mary Fallin.

Gwen Stefani’s boys seem to love life in Oklahoma, and the pop star often shares Snapchats of her sons having fun on Blake Shelton’s ranch. However, his new property might remind the Cali boys and their mother a bit more of the state that they’ve always called home.
