Thomas D’Agostino Speaks Out On Cheating Scandal: ‘If I Could Take It Back I Would’

Thomas D’Agostino has been quite the popular name in New York over the past year, especially on The Real Housewives of New York. Luann de Lesseps fell in love with D’Agostino after meeting him through Dorinda Medley, and the two quickly found love. Within a few months, they were engaged and they are set to marry later this year in Palm Springs as they say “I do” in front of 250 guests on New Year’s Eve. It sounds like everything would be just perfect between these two if it weren’t for the cheating scandal that rocked the couple earlier this year. Thomas was caught kissing another woman at the Regency Hotel in New York, a place that he frequents with his friends.

According to a new Bravo report, Thomas D’Agostino is now breaking his silence about the night he was caught kissing another woman. This happened just 48 hours before his engagement party to Luann, which made the betrayal so much worse. While de Lesseps has been defending him, Thomas is now speaking out himself to set the record straight about their relationship.

“Yeah, I made a mistake, and I feel awful about it,” Thomas D’Agostino admitted during an interview with The Insider that he did with Luann de Lesseps this week, adding, “If I could take it back, I would. I love Luann tremendously.”

Luann de Lesseps admits that she was completely heartbroken after learning about the kissing scandal. While she was thankful at first for Bethenny telling her about Thomas D’Agostino’s behavior while she was gone, she has now turned against her former friend, saying that she felt completely set up. She has also revealed that she really needed to do some soul searching to see if Thomas was really worth staying with.

“It was awful. It was awful to find out that way. It felt like my earth was completely blown apart because I love Tom,” she told The Insider about the kissing scandal, adding, “And I feel like people in life, they make mistakes. It was a kiss in a public place. I mean, if he was trying to hide, would he be sitting in public, correct?”

While Thomas D’Agostino has appeared on The Real Housewives of New York a few times, it doesn’t look like he will be making too many appearances in the future. As it turns out, he’s a very private person and doesn’t enjoy the spotlight at all. And this could explain why D’Agostino hasn’t really talked about his relationships with Sonja Morgan or Ramona Singer. He was linked to both Real Housewives of New York stars before meeting de Lesseps.

“This is my first interview talking about these things on national TV. I’m a pretty private person,” Thomas D’Agostino added during the interview when asked about his personal relationships to Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer, to which Luann added, “He didn’t really want to be on the show. He didn’t want to be on the show, but we got engaged, so here we are.”

“I did it to support Luann,” D’Agostino reveals about the few scenes he did film for The Real Housewives of New York.

Many had assumed that he was chasing a role on The Real Housewives of New York, but it sounds like Thomas D’Agostino denies that claim — just as he’s denying the length and meaning behind his relationships with Sonja and Ramona, according to People magazine. This is something that will surface at the reunion specials over the next few weeks, even though Thomas D’Agostino won’t be present.

“In the reunion, there’s a lot of controversy and drama and Bethenny and I hash it out,” Luann told The Insider, adding, “Bethenny can think what she wants to think. I don’t judge her and her relationships, so who should she be to judge mine?”
