‘Days Of Our Lives’: Is Eduardo Really Leaving Salem? A Martinez Clarifies ‘DOOL’ Status

Days Of Our Lives fans are wondering what is going on with Eduardo Hernandez. Thanks to Dario’s scheming, his father has decided it would be safer for his family if he left Salem. Viewers assumed this meant that A Martinez was leaving the NBC soap opera. The actor has come forward to clarify his status on ‘DOOL.’

A Martinez went to Twitter to give a statement about his Days Of Our Lives status, Soap Opera Digest reported. Instead of being a series regular, he has dropped to a recurring character. This means that fans will still see Eduardo once in a while, just not as often as before.

“Much gratitude for all the Hernandez Love these last couple of days. Wonderful work from everyone on the stage, and some lovely writing and direction as well. To clear up a couple of misapprehensions: Eduardo will return, and the character’s move to ‘recurring’ status was my wish. I love the family and love the show, but need the flexibility the change allows. There’s more to come, and a lot of it is extremely compelling.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Days Of Our Lives spoilers last week revealed that Eduardo Hernandez decided to leave Salem. Earlier this week, he told his family that the best thing for everyone was for him to say goodbye. Of course, Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) didn’t seem to care. His attitude was more than just not caring that his father was leaving town, though. Even though everyone knows that Dario has no love or forgiveness for Eduardo, there is something that Gabi (Camila Banus) senses.

As Days Of Our Lives fans know, Gabi’s instincts are right. There is something else brewing under the surface, and she was a victim of it. A few weeks ago, Gabi Hernandez was attacked. The young man had a message for her father. However, it turns out that Dario hired him. He is lucky that Gabi didn’t get hurt, but the secret is going to come out eventually. This week, Gabi ran into the man who attacked her in the Salem square. She screamed, and he covered her mouth, called her an obscenity, and then he stomped off, angry at the headache the Hernandez family was giving him.

Thanks to Dario, Eduardo is leaving Salem. Rafe (Galen Gering) is disappointed that his father is saying goodbye. His mother is heartbroken and feels that Eduardo should stay. However, the person hurt the most by Eduardo leaving is Gabi. She was full of emotion during the farewell scene. When she finds out that Dario is behind Eduardo leaving and her attack, will she have the heart to forgive him?

As for Eduardo Hernandez, A Martinez said that he was moving to recurring status. This means that fans will still see him. Perhaps he will come back to Salem once in a while to visit? Or will he be searching for the person who is threatening his family? Will he come across the man Dario hired and find out the truth? The thug insisted on getting more money from Dario to keep quiet. However, after Gabi’s screams, he seems not to want to be bothered with the family. Could he just reveal the truth in spite of his agreement with Dario? Also, Rafe said if he needed any help to locate the people involved, to just let him know. Could Rafe end up finding out the truth?
