Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie’s 2-Year Anniversary Celebration Revealed

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie celebrated two years of marriage in Beverly Hills last month.

With rumors in full swing claiming they were headed for divorce, Brad Pitt and his wife enjoyed a romantic, low-key date night at a popular hotel in Los Angeles.

“It was just the two of them. They had dinner and spent the night, and that was it,” a source told Us Weekly on August 31 of the couple’s private time at the five-star resort. “They left the next day.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got married in a surprise ceremony at their estate in France, Chateau Marital, on August 23, 2014, after nine years of dating. As fans will recall, their romance began on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and after Pitt’s then-wife, Jennifer Aniston, filed for divorce, they went public with a joint outing in Africa.

According to the magazine insider, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie book hotels from time to time just to “keep the love alive” and get away from their often hectic lives with their six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8.

Although Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have their hands full with their kids, they wouldn’t have it any other way.

“I never knew how much I could love something until I looked in the faces of my children,” Brad Pitt said during an interview with The Telegraph last November. “[There’s] a lot of love, a lot of fighting, a lot of refereeing, a lot of teeth-brushing and spilling.”

When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie said their I dos years ago, each of their children had a very important role. In fact, Jolie’s wedding dress included drawings from the kids, and during the ceremony, Jolie was walked down the aisle by her two oldest sons, Maddox and Pax. Meanwhile, Zahara and Vivienne threw flower petals, and Shiloh and Knox were ring bearers.

“It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter,” Pitt and Jolie told Hello! magazine at the time. “It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family.”

Days ago, around the time of their actual anniversary, a source claimed Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had “recommitted” themselves to one another after Pitt completed filming on Allied earlier this summer.

“Despite their busy schedules, [Brad Pitt] and Angie have recommitted themselves to each other and are actually more in love than ever,” a source explained to Hollywood Life last week. “Family time is a huge priority for them, so they make sure to spend quality time with one another alone, and with the kids.”

“They just do normal things that families do, like going out for ice cream and going grocery shopping together,” the source revealed. “Their kids mean everything to them, and as they get older, they want to make sure that family comes first, and this includes them as a couple coming first as well.”

Last month, Brad Pitt and his family engaged in a number of “normal” activities, including a pancake breakfast for the twin’s birthday and a couple of trips to the grocery store in Los Angeles.

While Brad Pitt was filming Allied earlier this year, he and his family, Jolie included, relocated temporarily to London but for the past several weeks, they appear to be spending the majority of their time in Los Angeles.
