As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) will come out of his coma. Fans just don’t know when, how, or why it will happen. Needless to say, the vampire will be pretty cranky when he emerges from his pain-induced coma. Not only did Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis) put him in that state, but he also stuck Klaus in a tomb, hidden in an undisclosed location.

In an interview with TV Insider, Morgan talked about The Originals Season 4 and the relationship between Klaus and Marcel. One of the questions asked was if Klaus will want to kill Marcel when he awakens.

“I don’t think so, unless it’s necessary for his survival. The bond with Marcel is one of the show’s foundations. That’s why it was so hurtful to Klaus when his brother Elijah (Daniel Gillies) tore out Marcel’s heart.”

However, that doesn’t mean all will be forgiven between Klaus and Marcel. In that same interview, Joseph Morgan said that there will definitely be war.

There are some fans speculating on how Klaus emerges from his coma. There are viewers who believe Marcel may bring him out of it. The reasoning is that the new villain coming to New Orleans will want revenge against Klaus. However, the vampire is in a secret tomb with the Tunde blade stuck in his chest. With Klaus unable to move and unaware of what is going on outside the tomb, what does this new villain want? Is Klaus’ current state not good enough?

Executive producer Julie Plec spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Klaus Mikaelson‘s current state and the people who come to New Orleans looking for him. She also shed some light on Marcel’s actions last season.

“The indignity of Klaus Mikaelson’s situation the last five years [is being] held captive by his surrogate son and forced to be an advisor to a king that he does not recognize. Also, [he knows] Marcel is actually singularly responsible for the fact he’s alive, because so many people have come to town in the last five years desperate to see him reduced to ash.”

Other spoilers for The Originals Season 4 include a few new characters, including Containment star Christina Moses. She will be playing a bisexual werewolf named Keelin. She is the last of her family line. Some fans are wondering if Keelin will hold the key to saving the Mikaelson family.

There is another theory that Hope might be the one to save them. As fans of The Originals know, she will no longer be a baby when the supernatural TV show returns. Five years have passed by, which means Klaus and Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) daughter will be seven years old when Season 4 premieres.

What do you think of what Joseph Morgan had to say about Klaus and Marcel? What theories do you have on the two vampires? What will the status of their relationship be in Season 4? Who will save the Mikaelson family? How important will Hope and Keelin be to saving the vampire family when the series returns?

There is no premiere date for The Originals. However, fans are predicting The CW will air new episodes in early 2017.
