Amanda Stanton Stands By Her Man As Josh Murray’s Mom Calls Out Bad ‘Bachelor In Paradise’ Editing

Amanda Stanton may be in Paradise, but she’s not all that happy about how the ABC reality show is portraying her and her man. Stanton took to her blog to explain what went down regarding her dates with Nick Viall and Josh Murray on Bachelor in Paradise. While it appeared that Murray moved in on Viall’s girl (that’d be Stanton), Amanda revealed that the scenes were heavily edited and a lot of key conversations were never shown.

On her blog post, Amanda revealed that she has been “overwhelmed with the amount of hate” she has received on social media since the episode aired. Stanton also revealed that there were “a few important details that were missing “that might explain” her actions.

According to Stanton, she met Viall a few times before they both signed on to Bachelor in Paradise, and before they left to shoot the show in Mexico, he told her he was interested in getting to know Jen Saviano from Ben Higgins’ season of The Bachelor.

Amanda also admitted that while she had a “big crush” on Nick before going on to BIP, she knew up front that he was interested in Saviano. Amanda revealed that she was shocked when Nick asked her out on a date and that their date “didn’t go as well as it was portrayed on the show.”

“It was a fine first date. We had good conversation. We kissed. But there weren’t those ‘sparks’ like I was hoping for … I had a crush on him before the show and had high hopes for this date. I almost felt like he was holding back because he knew he was waiting for Jen to arrive and didn’t want to lead me on. One thing that stood out to me was that he would hold my hand or kiss me … but as soon as the cameras were off he would stop or let go of my hand… I TRULY felt like he wasn’t that into me.”

Stanton also added that Viall continued to make it clear that he was “very excited for Jen to arrive.”

“He told me he wanted to be on the same page as far as dating other people and made it CLEAR AS DAY that we were going to both explore our options… I appreciated his honesty with me! But this is why when Josh arrived the next morning, I didn’t hesitate to say yes to the date!”

Side note: it never shows the conversation between Nick and I at the rose ceremony! Y'all might be missing something ?

Indeed, Amanda Stanton’s description of events line up with Reality Steve’s spoilers for the show. On his RealitySteve.com blog, the Bachelor spoiler king wrote that producers just made it seem like Josh “stole Amanda” from Nick. The spoiler king also posted a screenshot of a Facebook entry from Josh Murray’s mom, Lauren, who verified that Viall told Stanton off-camera that they should date other people and that the “stealing” storyline was just for ratings.

Murray’s mom also revealed that it is hard for her to watch the show. She commented that her son’s quote that “only God knows what the truth is” was the most intelligent comment on the show.

Josh Murray also took to Twitter to write that, despite all of the phony drama, his first date with Amanda was amazing. Josh also teased that the back and forth commentary that ABC showed between him and Nick was completely cut up and edited, to the point that it’s laughable.

“Cracks me up if y’all only knew what was said,” he wrote.

Indeed, even Viall now admits that all he wants is for Amanda Stanton to be happy.

And based on their recent social media activity, Amanda Stanton and Josh Murray are still living happily ever after two months after becoming engaged on the Bachelor in Paradise finale. Last week, TMZposted photos of the BIP lovebirds out with Amanda’s two kids at the Orange County Fair, revealing that Josh is now living with Amanda and her two daughters in the OC, but that they plan to buy a house in his Atlanta hometown in the near future.
