‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 7 Spoilers: Is This The End Of The Show?

Last night’s episode of the much-beloved Pretty Little Liars saw a bunch of spoilers, speculations, and rumors come flowing out of Rosewood. But how do we make sense of everything after last night’s episode?

One of the biggest Pretty Little Liars Season 7 spoilers came courtesy of one of our favorite couples, “Spoby” (aka Spencer and Toby). Movie News Guide was the first to notice that Spencer (played by Troian Bellisario) and Toby (played by Keegan Allen) are still very much in love with one another. It was almost heartbreaking, really, to watch the two star-crossed lovers pledge undying fealty with their eyes but be incapable of getting it together, ultimately, before the credits rolled.

What’s even more interesting, too, is that the “Spoby” house is being built. According to Movie News Guide, showrunner Marlene King, whose deliberately vague social media posts cause a flurry of angry tweets to head her way every time news from the show comes out, has confirmed one of the biggest Pretty Little Liars Season 7 spoilers: We’re going to be hearing wedding bells this season! With the love these two have for one another and the mere existence of the “Spoby” house, this just might be the most anticipated wedding of the year.

Not so fast, says the The International Business Times. Their take on the “Spoby” situation is a much darker set of Pretty Little Liars Season 7 spoilers than fans may be ready to accept: Toby isn’t going to marry Spencer, but he’s going to die! Their theory surrounding this spoiler has to do with a tweet that Keegan Allen sent out about a month ago, which led fans to speculate that not only is Toby going to die this season, but Pretty Little Liars is actually going to come to an end.

In the tweet, Keegan posted a “flashback” picture while saying “gonna miss this,” which led people to speculate that not only was his character getting killed off but that the show would be ending. As if to add fuel to the Pretty Little Liars Season 7 spoilers fire, Marlene King subsequently sent out a similar tweet about “changes” and the “light at the end of the tunnel.”

So far, neither Freeform (the channel formerly known as ABC Family) nor King has made an official statement about the return — or the demise — of Pretty Little Liars after this season, but fans won’t be able to rest easy until they get this confirmation.

If, indeed, the show does end after this season, fans needn’t worry about Troian Bellisario, the other half of the “Spoby” drama. Another Pretty Little Liars Season 7 spoiler comes courtesy of Yibada, which speculated that Bellisario will not only be directing an episode of Pretty Little Liars this season but will be moving behind the camera for good once this season is over. This definitive statement about Bellisario’s career choices only lends further credence to speculation about the show’s ultimate demise after this season.

The outlet confirmed that Bellisario will be directing Episode 715 of the show, titled “In the Eye Abides the Heart.” The same outlet confirmed that Marlene King said that the actress-turned-director will be faced with a “tearful goodbye” this season. Could it be that this really is the end of the line for good?

There will be a lot of Pretty Little Liars news coming out over the coming weeks as fans eagerly anticipate what’s coming next — and if it’s even coming at all. We will keep you apprised of all Pretty Little Liars Season 7 spoilers as they become known and confirmed.
